Just wrapped up an incredible experience at FilmBazaar 2024 this week by National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) Five days immersed in Co-productions/International Alliances and network disucssions which would be amazing in my journey with Handshake Media in leveraging India & Uk Collaboration. It was inspiring to meet amazing Indian co-producers like Harsh Agarwal from Uncombed Buddha Pvt Ltd whose recent feature Rapture had its world premiere in Locarno Film Festival’s Cineasti del Presente strand; also screened at Busan International Film Festival and in the South Asia Competition of MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image), where it won the Netpac Award and Sanjay Gulati from Crawling Angel Films whose recent film Girls Will be Girls, premiered at Sundance Institute. Their passion for storytelling and dedication to cinema were truly energizing.
The Co-Production Market was a treasure trove of exciting pitches, showcasing the diversity and brilliance of filmmakers from across the globe. The discussions I had there have opened up new avenues for collaboration and creative partnerships.

Also met champion of Indie Films Shiladitya Bora at the festival to foster these collaborations.
A huge thank you to British Council & British Film Institute (BFI) for their unwavering support with their travel grant in my journey to bring my feature film Phiran to be directed by Amit Kaur to life. Film Bazaar has been a pivotal step in finding the right co-producers and kickstarting conversations of key India – UK Projects that will undoubtedly shape the future of this project and others to come.
Looking forward to turning these connections and ideas into meaningful collaborations. Here’s to storytelling that transcends boundaries!
